About Cachinko

Everyone deserves an awesome job and a happy workplace. Cachinko is here to help.

Founded in 2005, the Cachiko has developed amazing recruiting tools and career networking solutions.  First, we combined trusted referrals, talent communities, unicorn tears, social plugins (good marketing speak) and all sorts of other bells and whistles that employers wanted. Then we turned our attention to the job seeker. After a few late nights and a little filibustering, Cachinko was reborn as a fast and simple job seeker app – completely focused on giving job seekers the tools they need to find their ideal job.Now a Facebook application, Cachinko makes looking for your next job faster and more efficient by using your very best resource: your friends! On our app, you can mix and mingle with others to get you further in your job search. You can “star” jobs and we’ll automatically serve up more jobs we think you’ll like. Start up a conversation with anyone, you never know who will be your next boss. The job search is hard. Cachinko makes it easy. With over 3 million jobs to search… get cracking.

How does it work?

Simply login with Facebook on http://cachinko.com, or access the application on Facebook http://apps.facebook.com/cachinko. Then enter the title of the position you want and where you want to work. We search millions of jobs from the Internet and job aggregators to return the most interesting and relevant jobs matched to your skills and preferences. The more you View, Like, or Comment on a specific type of job the more relevance we will assign to these jobs that interest you. When you click on “More Like This” you save the job into your starred jobs folder to follow, and “Less Like This” tells us the types of jobs that you do not want to see in your job search. The more you interact on the site the more specific your job search becomes.

Connect with your friends on Facebook. Some of your friends have valuable industry and professional experience. They may work at companies that interest you, or they may know somebody who does. Talk with them about your goals and ask them for introductions to hiring managers inside the companies you like.

All of your saved jobs, conversations with friends and about jobs are organized neatly into a familiar activity stream under your Starred Jobs, Friends, and Conversations tabs so you can quickly refer back to information that can aid in your job search or application process.

Update your profile so that your new friends’ first look at your professional online resume is current and relevant. The day is coming soon when resumes will be obsolete, so make your professional profile stand out by making it current and complete.

An online resume that is backed up with references from people in your industry and profession is a powerfully persuasive combination. Ask your connections for a recommendation that tells reviewers of your profile your character strengths and skills. Return the favor by endorsing friends about whose work you think highly.

Always be networking! Whether you are one of the lucky ones to have already found your ideal job, or you are still looking, networking is the most critical activity for career development. Knowing others with skills, experience, and resources that can help you to achieve a stretch goal can enhance your position with your current employer. Being resourceful by knowing where to go and how to use resources available to you is a valuable leadership trait. If you are seeking a new job, then you should know that over 65% of all hires are made based on referrals. So, build your network and get connected today.

Meet the Team

Felipe – President & Co-founder (@jfelipe33)
University of Texas at Austin Alumni and lover of all things “technology”, Felipe is always ahead of the game. He’s known for having a knack for numbers, and before masterminding Cachinko with his buddy Rajen, he held both Finance Director and CIO positions at DSLabs. His true passion is starting and steering successful companies (like Blue Produce). Having been on both sides of the hiring desk, he knows firsthand how frustrating it is to look for and find a job using traditional job boards and how time-consuming and costly it is to recruit great employees. Felipe refused to accept a less than perfect process. He envisioned a better way to find and recruit talented people, and from this vision Cachinko was born.

Rajen – Vice President & Co-founder (@rajensavjani)
Rajen and Felipe go way back — they were college roommates and even worked together at DSLabs. Rajen’s love of technology, business and common sense made it an easy decision to build Cachinko with Felipe.  Whether it’s big thinking, fresh ideas or some occasional copy, he’s eager to make Cachinko the go to place for career networking.
Outside of Cachinko he likes to entertain with useless information, speak in song lyrics and research the best places to chow down. Some of his other endeavors include Where Sparks Fly and City 17.

Tony – Vice President of Sales & Marketing (@amorrison03)
Tony’s specialty at Cachinko is building client relationships. He helps job seekers find their ideal job and helps employers find, attract, and engage their next rock star candidates. Rajen & Felipe knew Tony would be a great addition to the Cachinko team, because he worked with them at DSLabs for nearly 10 years.Tony received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maine and is currently pursuing his MBA. When looking for an adrenaline rush, he enjoys rock climbing, ice climbing and racing his motorcycle. When relaxation is in order, he prefers hiking, camping, and fishing with his son.
