For those of you not in the know, today is Chinese New Year!
Around the world today, billions of people will be ringing in the Year of the Dragon with parades, ceremonies, and other traditional festivities.
Of course, we at Cachinko are going to celebrate Chinese New Year in the best way we know how: through job search tips!

Take control.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that dragons are associated with power and most of all, control. If you’re not, you need to be in control of your own job search. Without control, you aren’t going to land the job of your dreams.

Be fierce.
I don’t mean some kind of Beyoncé/Sasha Fierce thing. Instead, I think that every job seeker should be at least a little bit aggressive. Employers admire aggressive candidates because it tells them that, if hired, this person is going to get the job done and won’t let minor obstacles get in the way.

Get creative.
People born in the Year of the Dragon are typically associated with creativity and artistic qualities. While you don’t have to have expert painting skills, a creative outlook can make your job search more interesting and fruitful. Don’t be by-the-book in your job search, employers see that every day. Find something that makes you stand out and be creative!

Be flexible
Another lesser-known quality of folks born in the Year of the Dragon is that they are known for their flexibility. Every job seeker should know how to be flexible. Allow yourself to go outside of your comfort zone, you’ll never know what you might find.
