With all the money going to help, how many have steped up and taken advantage of training or starting the own bussinesses? While this is happening, I think the Fed/State governments should do more on this end. Teaching people to fish rather than just feeding them.

The Fed/State are not doing the right things to help people. There are over 3 million open jobs right now, but why are they open if there are 20+ million unemployed? One thing we need to do is bring efficiency to job seeking, similar to what NASDAQ and NYSE do for stock trading. If information is shared so fast and job seekers can get matched instantly to employers then we are making progress. Policy changes can help get the other 17 million people back to work, but none of this happens when politicians are not focused on jobs. Lots of problems, I feel your pain. Imagine if the government funded startups to solve this problem with let’s say $1B/year (drop in the bucket), all our top talent would focus on fixing this BIG problem. Big companies and big government don’t help, they just do more of the same.
